Following the destruction of the CMWU central warehouse in Mawasi Khan Younis during the Gaza war on January 21, 2024, UNICEF contracted the Center for Engineering and Planning (CEP) to carry out damage assessment and prepare the supply bidding documents for its repair. The warehouse suffered extensive damage due to fire, resulting in the collapse of its superstructure. CEP’s scope of work included assessing the remaining substructure to determine its structural integrity, preparing a detailed Bill of Materials, and developing comprehensive supply bidding documents including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and repair drawings. Additionally, CEP was intended to provide a cost estimate for the proposed repair works.
