Project Overview
This project involved the development of a conceptual design and feasibility study for the implementation of an On-grid solar PV power generation system with a capacity range of 450 kWp – 1 MWp for the Baqara Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS 5). The project included designing a dedicated power connection, transmission line, hybrid controller, and integration with the public power grid through net metering.
Role of CEP in the project
Developed the conceptual design and conducted a feasibility study for the On-grid solar PV power generation system, sizing the system to meet the energy needs of WWPS 5.
Designed the dedicated power connection and transmission line, ensuring seamless integration with the pumping station’s existing infrastructure.
Designed the system’s on-grid inverters, hybrid controller, generator control panel, and net metering setup, aligning the solution with the station’s operational requirements.
Conducted a detailed feasibility assessment, considering factors such as energy production, system costs, and potential savings from the net metering arrangement with the public power grid.
Provided technical support throughout the project to ensure the successful integration and operation of the solar system with the existing wastewater pumping station infrastructure.
