Project Overview
This project aimed to enhance the knowledge and technical capabilities of stakeholders in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in the Gaza Strip regarding solar energy systems. The project included a capacity needs assessment, training for WASH cluster representatives and the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU) staff, and post-training assessments.
Role of CEP in the project
Conducted a capacity needs assessment to identify gaps in knowledge and specific training needs of the WASH stakeholders.
Designed and delivered training sessions focused on the design, operation, and maintenance of solar energy systems for WASH infrastructure.
Provided practical knowledge to enhance the capacity of local stakeholders to implement and manage solar systems effectively in their WASH projects.
Carried out post-training assessments to measure the impact of the training and ensure long-term effectiveness.
