Project Overview

The project aimed to evaluate the organizational capacity of 10 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the Gaza Strip through a self-rating process. The assignment involved validating the self-assessment results of these NGOs and providing expert recommendations on their potential for certification. Additionally, the consultant developed a tailored capacity-building plan for each NGO to enhance their performance and operational effectiveness.

Role of CEP in the project

CEP played a key role in overseeing and facilitating the entire rating and evaluation process. Their responsibilities included:

Validation of NGO Ratings: CEP ensured that the self-assessments were accurate and reflected the true capacity of the organizations. This involved reviewing documents, conducting interviews, and cross-referencing with external data when necessary.

Certification Recommendations: CEP provided detailed reports with recommendations regarding each NGO's suitability for certification, taking into account the organizations' compliance with operational and organizational standards.

Capacity Building Plans: CEP was instrumental in designing tailored capacity-building plans for each of the 10 NGOs, identifying key areas for improvement and outlining actionable steps to address organizational weaknesses.
