Project Description
The Center for Engineering and Planning (CEP) undertook the comprehensive design and tender preparation for the construction of 100 housing units in Beit Lahia, Gaza Strip. Spanning a land area of 18,500 m², the project was a vital initiative aimed at providing safe and sustainable housing solutions for displaced Palestinian families.
In addition to the housing units, the project included the design of essential community infrastructure such as a school, a mosque, roads, and utility networks, ensuring a fully functional and self-sufficient residential development. CEP delivered detailed designs for roads, water supply systems, stormwater drainage, sewage collection and disposal, as well as electrical and telecommunications facilities.
The scope of services included
Integrated Design Development: Prepared detailed designs for housing units, roads, and community facilities, ensuring functionality and sustainability and designed utility networks, including water, sewage, stormwater, and telecommunications, to support the development comprehensively.
Tender Documents: Developed complete tender documents to facilitate a transparent bidding process, enabling timely and cost-effective implementation.
Sustainability and Resilience: Ensured the project incorporated resilient designs capable of addressing environmental and social challenges in Gaza, while promoting efficient resource use.
Community-Centered Planning: Designed spaces that foster community interaction, such as the mosque and school, supporting the social and educational needs of the residents.
