Project Description
The project involved the rehabilitation and renovation of the 1,600 m² ground floor of the Palestinian Red Crescent Center for Children with Disabilities in Khan Younis. The scope of work included the removal of aluminum partitions and their replacement with concrete insulated walls, as well as the renovation of floors, ceilings, and walls. The project also addressed the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities, mechanical and electrical installations, and the supply of necessary furniture.
In addition to the physical renovation, the project included a comprehensive seismic evaluation, a complete material list, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and a cost estimate to ensure the building’s safety, sustainability, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Role of CEP in the Project
Design and Renovation: CEP was responsible for the detailed design and renovation works, ensuring that the updated facilities met the specific needs of children with disabilities.
Construction Supervision: CEP supervised the entire renovation process, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Seismic Evaluation and Safety: CEP conducted a seismic evaluation to assess the structural integrity of the building and incorporated necessary safety measures.
Environmental and Cost Planning: CEP prepared the EIA, material list, and cost estimate, ensuring the project was both environmentally sound and within budget.
