Project Overview

This project focused on the comprehensive structural evaluation and assessment of the University College of Ability Development's existing structure, ensuring its compliance with international standards and accommodating the addition of three proposed floors. The evaluation, conducted in accordance with IBC 2012 and ACI 318M-14 standards, included seismic analysis, crack inspection, and soil analysis to ensure the building’s safety and preparedness for expansion.

Role of CEP in the Project

Conducted a full structural assessment and seismic performance analysis for the existing structure and the proposed floors, ensuring compliance with IBC 2012 and ACI 318M-14 standards.

Performed a detailed visual inspection of existing cracks, determining whether they were structural or non-structural, and provided repair procedures, including materials and techniques.

Prepared a comprehensive soil report to ensure the foundation's adequacy for the new proposed floors, in line with IBC 2012 guidelines.
