Project Overview

The project aimed to rehabilitate and restore the historic Sayed Hashim Mosque, focusing on preserving its architectural and cultural significance while enhancing its structural stability and prayer capacity. The scope included a multi-stage process to document, analyze, and execute the necessary restoration and strengthening activities.

Role of CEP on the Project:

Conducted architectural and structural documentation to record the existing state of the mosque.

Performed surveying and historical research to understand the cultural and historical context of the structure.

Reviewed the structural stability of the mosque and developed strategies to enhance it.

Supervised the site restoration, strengthening, and rehabilitation activities to ensure alignment with historical preservation standards.

Increased the prayer capacity of the mosque while maintaining its architectural integrity.
