Project Overview

This project aimed at improving the water supply infrastructure in Gaza by enhancing the distribution networks and upgrading key facilities. The scope included the design review, preparation of tender documents, and construction supervision for the construction of two 5,000 m³ water tanks, booster stations, rehabilitation of existing water distribution networks, and electrification works for infrastructure facilities. Additionally, the project involved setting up leak detection plans to reduce water losses and illegal usage.

Role of CEP on the Project:

Reviewed the designs for the construction of two 5,000 m³ water tanks with booster stations and 6.5 km of UPVC carrier lines, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and local standards.

Prepared complete tender documents for the construction works, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.

Supervised the construction activities for the water tanks, booster stations, carrier lines, and rehabilitation works to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Managed the rehabilitation of 17 km of existing distribution networks, including various pipe sizes to improve efficiency and reduce losses.

Coordinated electrification works for existing infrastructure to ensure proper functionality and integration.

Conducted an environmental initial review of the project to assess and mitigate potential environmental impacts.

Developed and implemented leak detection plans, tools, and procedures to minimize water losses and prevent illegal water usage.
