Project Overview

This project involved the re-design of the Khalaf Infiltration Basin, aimed at improving stormwater management and facilitating groundwater recharge in the region. The design included deep infiltration wells, large reinforced concrete box culverts, geotextile layers, and other necessary infrastructure to effectively capture and manage stormwater runoff.

Role of CEP in the project

Re-designed the stormwater infiltration basin, including deep infiltration wells filled with gravel, reinforced concrete box culverts, gravel and geotextile layers, and sheet piles to optimize stormwater infiltration.

Developed the stormwater catchment network design to ensure efficient water collection and flow to the infiltration basin.

Prepared detailed tender documents, including technical specifications, design drawings, and project timelines for the construction of the infiltration basin and associated works.

Designed landscaping and fencing for the site, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetic integration with the surrounding environment.

Ensured all design elements adhered to local engineering standards and environmental requirements for stormwater management.
